Specialist commission settlements, calculated on what was collected
You set the percentage each specialist earns and, if you want, exceptions per treatment. Every payment recorded on a budget generates the commission of whoever performed the treatment, and at month end you generate the settlement, review it line by line and mark it as paid.

Who it is for
For clinics that work with specialists on a percentage and today calculate commissions in a spreadsheet, matching by hand what was collected, who it belongs to and what was already paid.
A settlement is the clinic’s internal calculation: it does not issue invoices or withholdings, nor transfer money.
Available on the Plus plan only: it unlocks once the clinic has at least one paid doctor user.
How it works

Set the rules
In Settings → Commissions: a percentage per specialist (Dr. María → 35%), per treatment (Implant → 40%) or both (Dr. María + Implant → 45%). The most specific one wins.

Assign the specialist
When you create the budget you choose who performs the treatment; odontogram budgets take the visit’s professional. A line can have several specialists.

Collect as usual
Every charge — in full, in instalments or partial — generates its commission right away, only on what was actually collected.

Settle and pay
Pick a specialist and a period, review the detail and generate the settlement. Once marked as paid it is closed and kept in the history.
What it includes

Proportional to each payment
A $2,000 budget collected in three payments generates three proportional commissions. Discounts are already out: commission is paid on what was collected.

Never the same payment twice
Each payment generates one commission per specialist and goes into a single settlement, however many times the period is viewed.

The percentage is frozen
If the rule changes in November, October’s settlement still shows the percentage it was calculated with.

Voids without rewriting the past
If a payment that was already settled is voided, the paid settlement stays as it is: a pending deduction is created for the next one.

History and audit trail
Who generated, confirmed, paid or voided each settlement, when and why. Export each one to PDF, Excel or CSV.

Per-person permissions
Viewing, generating and paying are separate permissions. Only administrators set rules and mark settlements as paid.
No rule, no commission: payments with a specialist but no rule show as “No rule” so you know what is left to set up.

Frequently asked questions
Is the commission calculated on the budget or on what was collected?
On what was collected. If $400 of a $1,000 treatment has been paid, the commission at 40% is $160; the rest is generated with the next payments.
What about payments taken before the rule existed?
A new rule starts by default on the 1st of the current month and applies to payments already recorded within its validity.
Can I correct a settlement that was already paid?
It is not edited: it stays closed. You record a positive or negative adjustment with its reason and it applies to the specialist’s next settlement.
Does SmilePro pay the specialist?
No. It calculates what they are owed and records that the clinic paid them, with the reference you enter.
